Sadly, our Roman Catholic neighbours at St Mary’s Church were burgled and vandalised last Saturday.  Unable to use their church for Saturday night Mass, we invited them to come and use our building – which they did.  It was good to celebrate the friendship that our two churches have, not least from the time five years ago when St Mary’s allowed us to use their church as a TV overflow for the funeral of our murdered colleague, Alan Greaves.

We hope that our Catholic friends will have peace in the future.
