We’ve all heard on the news Prof Chris Whitty (the Chief Medical Officer) urging us to be careful and to think about the gatherings we attend this Christmas.
We’ve also been hearing of mass cancellations of parties and events. For this reason can I assure you, The Carols by Candlelight, Midnight and Christmas Day Communion and our regular Sunday services will still be going ahead.
Please be assured we’ll be following guidelines to keep our services safe by asking you to:
- wear an approved face covering
- use the hand sanitiser on entering the church and
- Maintain social distancing with those outside your household
We’ll also be maintaining Good Ventilation (something I thought I’d never have to say, I’m usually trying to reduce the draughts to keep our church warm!)
We have also decided that we will not be serving refreshments after any of our services and as before encouraging everyone to leave the building as soon as the service is over.
We trust this will mean you can still attend our services with confidence and be able to invite friends and family to join us.
Please continue to pray for the Lord’s blessing on all our Christmas gatherings and for those feeling increased anxiety and unable to get out as much.
Simon (on behalf of the wardens & PCC)
