Following the announcement on Monday night by Boris Johnson, once again we are being directed to stay at home, protect the NHS and save lives.

Whilst the government have acknowledged just how essential public worship is by saying Churches can remain open (with tighter restrictions
on what we can do) it is being left to individual churches to decide on what’s best for them.

After several days of prayer and discussion and advice from our Bishops, bearing in mind the vulnerability of our congregation  and to ensure
everyone’s safety the PCC have made the difficult decision to close the church building from this Sunday the 10th for Sunday Services until at least the end of February.

Unfortunately we’re not yet in a position to stream a service from SSC so we’d encourage you to engage with the joint service from St John’s Parish Centre or the several offerings from the BBC and online.

Please remember it’s just the building that’s closed and we continue to pray for one another

As Christians we have a faith in God that brings comfort and hope, a hope we’ll be able to meet again soon as the vaccination programme gets
underway.
Don’t forget that only a couple of weeks ago we were celebrating the coming of the light of the world piercing our darkest nights.

Christ has come, Christ has risen, Christ is coming again.
