The Archbishop of York came to Friday Feast yesterday. Friday Feast is weekly evening meal that costs £1 per adult and children eat free, the church's response to child poverty.
Archbishop Sentamu spoke about his own experience of poverty as a child in his home country of Uganda. This was followed by a lively session of question and answers. Issues around faith, youth, living with despair, forgiveness were discussed. The Archbishop then joined in with the evening meal and had discussions over the food around issues of life and faith. His visit was much appreciated by all.
