This morning a good team of energetic parishioners rolled up their sleeves and gave St Saviour's a good and thorough clean. Having a good number of helpers enabled us to give the whole church and part of the gardens a really good clean. We are grateful for our volunteer cleaner, Pam Matthewman, who cleans the church weekly and does such a good job for us. However, it really helps to be able to have a whole team to give a deep clean to just about every inch of the church building.
Additionally, we took the opportunity to upgrade the east end curtains which have rather faded. We have now replaced them with practically the same colour (just a little darker) with new curtains donated in memory of Dorothy Bagshaw, a much loved parishioner who died last year.
Our thanks to everyone who gave of their help.
